1. Introduction

At Digital Judas, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This page explains how we comply with these regulations and outlines your rights regarding your personal data.

This compliance notice supplements our Privacy Policy and provides specific information about your rights under GDPR and CCPA. We encourage you to read both documents to fully understand how we handle your personal information.

2. GDPR Overview

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a comprehensive data protection law that applies to the processing of personal data of individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA), regardless of where the processing entity is located. The GDPR aims to give individuals control over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business.

Under the GDPR, we act as both a data controller and a data processor:

  • As a data controller, we determine the purposes and means of processing personal data collected from our users, tool submitters, and newsletter subscribers.
  • As a data processor, we process personal data on behalf of our tool submitters who use our platform to list their tools.

3. CCPA Overview

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. The CCPA grants California consumers the right to know what personal information is collected about them, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

While Digital Judas may not meet all thresholds that would legally require CCPA compliance, we voluntarily extend CCPA protections to all California residents as part of our commitment to privacy and transparency.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Under the CCPA, we collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers (e.g., name, email address, IP address)
  • Commercial information (e.g., tool listings, subscription details)
  • Internet activity information (e.g., browsing history, search history)
  • Geolocation data
  • Professional or employment-related information (for tool submitters)

4. Your Data Rights

  • Right to data portability - You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
